No coachings today. After breakfast, did some walking around Cate School, and took a 2-hour nap, then lunch, then headed to Battaglia’s Masterclass at Abravanel Hall. I learned things regarding Puccini music that I’ve not known before. Mr. Battaglia’s is a very well-informed teacher and musician. I admire his intelligence and passion. For the rest of the day, I just looked at a Rachmaninov song, and tried to learn it. I haven’t finalized yet what (3) songs I’m going to sing for the Marilyn Horne Foundation Competition. I”m definitely going to sing “Adelaide” by Beethoven. I’ll post tomorrow what I’ve decided. For now, I’ll go to bed. Ciao!
