Coachings/Rehearsals:
- 1:00pm lesson with Battaglia wasn’t as exciting as 2 weeks ago, mainly because my voice was tired and rather placed low in the tessitura.
- 3:00pm diction with Tarquinio went well. I coached Basilio’s role and the Orsini-Gennaro duet from Lucrezia Borgia.
- Evening Opera Scenes rehearsal at Abravanel Hall in Music Academy. I basically only sing less than a minute of music, particularly three lines: “Thaïs, idole fragile je veux ne dernière fois… Je veux l’amour de ta lèvre fleurie…. Demain, je ne serai pour toi plus rien qu’un nom.”

Reflections:
- Did 3 loads of laundry today (2 color, 1 white)
- Still experience sunburn on my shoulder only
- Had conversations with Philip (violinist) and Naoko (collaborative pianist)
- Helped Ami with some coloratura questions/problems.
- Had to decline an gig to sing for a 80th (or 90th?) birthday in L.A.
