Today was better than yesterday. I recovered from the quasi-allergy that I was getting yesterday. I only had one lesson today, and that was with Ms. Marilyn Horne. I warmed up properly, and I was ready for my lesson. The main thing about the lesson is keeping the higher notes “turned” (or some people may term it “covered”, but I like the word “turned” better because it has less other meanings.) We worked on “Tu vivi” and “O Colombina”. One of the main things that I have to remember is to make sure that I don’t go too dark and heavy, even though I’m singing in “AW” position, which will only be possible if I have support when I’m singing.

After that, I went swimming with some colleagues; well, actually, I didn’t really go swimming since I can’t swim. I just walked and played with the water on the pool. Right now, I’m going to Faith’s pad (dorm) and a few of us will be watching a movie (either Legally Blonde or Stigmata – what a contrast!).

Ciao for now!
