Finding Nemo

First of all, I didn’t make it to the finals for the Heinz Rehfuss Singing Actor Awards in Orlando Opera. I didn’t make it in time to see Ralph Cato’s recital, which I heard was phenomenal. I did go to Annie Chon’s recital, and it was very very good. My colleague, baritone In Joon Jang, was there, as well as Rio Hondo Symphony Associate Enrique Alvarez. About my audition to FéBland Foundation in Santa Barbara, it went really well. So far, it was the best “Adelaide” I’ve sung. My Mozart aria (from La Finta Giardiniera), went really well, too.

I saw Finding Nemo last Friday and Daddy Day Care yesterday with Steven. Finding Nemo was so good. Ellen D.’s voice characterization of “Dory” kept the movie funny. As for Daddy Day Care, it was ok. It’s not the funniest thing, but it was cute for a kid’s taste.

Well, this will be a busy week for me, as usual: Ciera Lamborn’s Recital on Monday (6/2), Opera Workshop Performances on Tuesday (6/3), rehearsal for Opera Nova Gala on Wednesday (6/4), Opera Nova Gala on Friday (6/6) and Britten’s War Requiem on Saturday (6/7)… whew!
